Bosses at Bristol Airport are expecting a busy bank holiday weekend as Brit look to escape abroad during the break.
As many as 80,000 passengers are predicted to fly from the facility between today (April 30th) and Monday, with thousands more arriving in the city as visitors.
The airport reports it has almost returned to maximum operational capacity following the closure of UK airspace due to a volcanic eruption in Iceland.
However, Bristol Airport aviation director Shaun Browne warned travellers to arrive for their flights in good time.
"Check-in, security search and boarding can take time, particularly for families and large groups. By arriving at least two hours ahead of their scheduled departure time, passengers can help us keep queues to a minimum," Mr Browne said.
According to airport bosses, many of the most popular routes from Bristol Airport take passengers outside the Eurozone, with Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia proving particularly popular.
In other news, a new World Duty Free store opened at the airport yesterday (April 29th).
