British Airways (BA) will serve some 60,000 passengers every day during the Unite union strike this month, the company has revealed.
The carrier reports that it will operate its full schedule from London Gatwick and London City Airports during the strike, which is set to take place between May 18th and 22nd.
Meanwhile, it will run 60 per cent of longhaul flights and 50 per cent of shorthaul flights at London Heathrow Airport.
BA chief executive Willie Walsh commented: "We will fly tens of thousands of customers around the world on business trips and family holidays every day that a strike takes place."
Mr Walsh added that thousands of other passengers will be able to book alternative travel with BA or with other airlines.
The carrier's revised schedule for services from London Heathrow Airport during the strike period is set to be made available online today (May 14th).
BA saw its passenger capacity drop by more than 20 per cent last month due to the disruptions caused by the Icelandic volcano, the airline reports.
