Stansted Airport has teamed up with East of England Tourism to boost the number of visitors flying to the region.
The airport, which is the second largest point of entry into the UK for foreign visitors, currently offers 160 international destinations on its route network, attracting millions of passengers each year.
Announcing the partnership with East of England Tourism chief executive Keith Brown, Stansted commercial and development director Nick Barton said inbound tourism is worth over £5 billion a year to the region.
"This promotion is aimed at highlighting to travellers the diversity of cultural experiences on offer in the east of England in an effort to further boost inbound tourism to the region," Mr Barton said.
A new route from the airport to the US was announced recently and is set to launch next month, he added.
Mr Brown stated that there are some "outstanding locations" that are easily accessible to tourists from Stansted Airport.
Stansted Airport revoked its application to build a second runway on Monday (May 24th) following the new government's change in airport policy.
