Flybe Announce New Routes for Summer 2012.
01/12/2011
Flybe have added three new routes to their Summer schedule from Exeter. They will be offering routes to Rennes, Avignon and Bergerac in France.
Bergerac is famous for wine, the region has twelve AOC’s (Appellations d'origine contrôlée), which is a method to prove the origins of wine and other French produce. The region is particularly good for vineyards because of the quality of drainage into the Dordogne. It is a must for wine enthusiasts.
Rennes is recognised as a ‘city of art and culture’, there are plenty of museums, galleries and festivals to enjoy. The Museum of Fine Arts is the main museum/gallery, with exhibitions from Ancient Egypt to modern French painting and sculptures.
Avignon is a historic city in south eastern France, known as the City of Popes. The city contains some of the best examples of medieval architecture in Europe, including the fortified walls that are left standing in some parts of the city. They also play host to The Festival of Avignon, a theatre festival showcasing traditional theatre as well as new un-produced plays.
