Stansted is Europe’s Most Punctual Airport.

Stansted is the third busiest Airport in London, specialising in low- cost carriers like Ryanair and Easyjet. The award for most punctual refers to take-offs, during November.

The airport also managed third most punctual in the world, after Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan and Minneapolis St Paul in America. The statistics were gathered and collated by FlightStats, an on-line flight information service.

The managing director of Stansted Airport said: This is excellent news for the airport and more importantly our passengers. It’s thanks to the help and support of our airlines, handling agents and business partners that passengers flying from Stansted are most likely to take off on-time than any other European airport.” in response to the news.

Stansted have also won ‘Best Low Cost Airport’ at the Skytrax awards and ‘best cleaned transport premises’ at the Golden Service Awards, both in the past twelve months. If you want to make sure you’re on time for your flight, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to transfer between the car park and terminal, or book a meet and greet so there is no need for a transfer.
