10/01/2012
Adria Airways operated flights between London Gatwick and Ljubljana but cancelled the flights last year. Following a restructuring of the airline they have now announced the reintroduction of the route.
Ljubljana is the capital city of Slovenia, famed for it’s lush surroundings, and managing to keep a small city feel. The city has retained over five thousand years of architectural heritage, and the residents of the city go to lengths to keep it that way.
There is an overwhelming mix of Baroque, Art Deco and Roman buildings, cobbled together to create a charming city. If you look for culture on your holiday, then look no further, there are over ten thousand cultural events held in the city per year; including music and film festivals, ballet and one of the oldest philharmonic societies in the world.
On the outskirts of the city there is easy access to the lakes and rivers of the Alps, there are many tour operators offering the chance to explore the region with professional assistance.
Flights will begin in March 2012, five days a week. To make a booking for meet and greet parking at Gatwick, click here.
