Bristol Named Best Airport for Business Travel.

Bristol Airport has been named ‘Best Airport’ at the Business Travel Awards; beating out competition from London Heathrow, Manchester and Edinburgh.

Bristol Airport provides a vital transport link from the South-West of England to the rest of the country and Europe through airlines like EasyJet, who have recently begun courting business travel more and more. Last year business travel at Bristol Airport made up 15% of their passenger numbers, and that percentage is expected to grow. The airport has recruited a team dedicated to business travel and plans on introducing a business friendly boarding gate and free wi-fi.

The award was voted by key business figures from companies like Tesco, E-On and HSBC. The chief executive of Bristol Airport said: “This award is recognition for the relationships we have built with organisations across the South West and would not have been possible without their support. We will continue to develop our product for business travellers, working with airlines to offer the routes and frequencies required by the region’s businesses.”
