Agreement Reached Over Police Services At Gatwick

An agreement has been reached regarding the provision of policing services at Gatwick Airport for 2008, it was announced on Tuesday (May 6th).
In order to ensure the safety and security of passengers using the hub, as well as staff, the Police Service Agreement (PSA) sets out the level of policing which Sussex Police will provide the airport with.
The agreement, which was made between Sussex Police, the Sussex Police Authority and the airport, also focuses on the expansion of Neighbourhood Policing.
Andy Flower, managing director of Gatwick Airport, said that the agreement will mean that passengers at the London hub will benefit from the "highest levels of security and protection".
He added: "It demonstrates the airport's commitment to keeping people safe and secure throughout their journey and truly highlights the benefits of joint partnership working with the police of which we should be very proud."
