Air Malta Plans For Potential Air Strikes

Air Malta have put detailed plans in place to deal with the proposed strike by the British Airports Authority should it go ahead.
Employees could strike on January 7th, 14th 17th and 18th, with the action set to affect London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Southampton, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The European airline has revealed that it could divert flights form Heathrow and Gatwick to Luton airport and flights from Glasgow to Prestwick, Malta Star reports.
Air Malta maintain that any passengers flying on the date of proposed strike action will be given the opportunity to alter their flights for free, if travel is completed by the 31st January 2008.
Meanwhile, Virgin Atlantic has pledged to try and operate as many flights as possible in the face of the proposed strike action.
The airline has revealed that it will attempt to operate the majority of its services on the January 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th, despite the fact that staff members in Unite union may be on strike.
