HEATHROW AIRPORT PARKING NEWS - 02/12/2008
British Airways (BA) has issued a statement updating passengers on the current situation at Bangkok airport, which has been heavily disrupted for the past week.
Special measures are being put on to aid stranded passengers who would otherwise be flying to London Heathrow Airport.
It has confirmed that a relief flight has been organised to transport up to 272 passengers aboard a Boeing 777 from Phuket to the British capital on Friday December 5th.
In addition, free bus services are being provided to take passengers from Bangkok to the alternative airport.
Passengers who are due to travel on the BA009 service to the Thai capital within the next four days should contact their local BA office, the company states.
Arrangements are also being made to assist passengers due to fly Sydney aboard flight BA010, in addition to the efforts being jointly organised with Australian carrier Qantas.
The airline has confirmed that due to protestor action at the Thai facility they have been unable to fly to the city since November 25th.
