Cardiff Airport Launches Campaign To Inform New Business Routes

Cardiff Airport has launched a new campaign to help determine new "business-friendly" routes and schedules.

The campaign will take the form of an online survey, in which Welsh business executives will be questioned about their air travel habits.

Cardiff Airport will ask: "If you COULD fly from Cardiff, where WOULD you go?"

Twelve leading organisations are involved, including Cardiff & Co, Institute of Directors Wales and Business in Focus.

The airport hopes that the data will provide the most comprehensive information yet about the travel requirements of Welsh businesses.

Peter Phillips, head of marketing and communications at Cardiff International Airport, commented: "Typically, when airlines seek to strengthen existing or establish new routes, they need hard and fast data before considering the commitment of aircraft and personnel.

"This massive co-operation exercise is the best chance for getting that evidence that we have ever had."

The results of the survey will be presented at a route-planning conference in Portugal in May.
