Cardiff Airport Notes Return Of The Package Holiday

Travellers are increasingly returning to package holidays or traditional travel agents, after having had bad experiences with booking holiday flights and accommodation online.
According to Welsh newspaper the Western Mail, the complexity of getting flights and accommodation to match up has led many people to become disillusioned with DIY holidays.
In addition, travellers are concerned that buying holidays online using a credit card may leave them open to the risk of fraud.
Peter Phillips, head of marketing for Cardiff International Airport, commented: "It appears as though many people are returning to the idea of getting everything at a one-stop shop.
"It can be quite a lot of work to try to put together a holiday. There are many uncertainties. You have to get the flights [to match] when you've got the accommodation.
"There's a market that has tried it and thought, 'That was a lot of work'. There's another market which says, 'We saved a lot of money and we're very pleased with that'."
