Contract Awarded For Traffic Marshalling Service At Gatwick

Traffic flows around Gatwick Airport - the second busiest airport in the UK - are to be improved by the launch of a new scheme.
Following the receipt of a contract from Gatwick, Vinci Park will provide a new traffic marshalling service at the airport, with perimeter roads and forecourts being a particular focus.
Forming part of a major drive to improve accessibility at Gatwick's terminals, the new service will see additional support provided to the existing team of traffic wardens.
Fraser Brown, head of commercial transport at Gatwick Airport, commented: "The safety and security of our passengers remains our number one priority. The new team of marshals will provide valuable support to the traffic wardens in maintaining the flow of traffic through our forecourts."
He added that "delays for passengers will be kept to a minimum" as any parked vehicles will be moved on, while valuable drop off bays will be freed up.
