Delays For Passengers Driving To Liverpool Airport

Passengers planning on travelling to Liverpool John Lennon Airport have been advised today (Thursday, May 1st) of impending delays on the M62.
The airport advised that due to construction work taking place between May 7th and May 22nd, the inside lane on the M62 Junction 6 roundabout will be closed.
Therefore, it is anticipated by the airport that there may be some delay caused to passengers driving to the hub via the M62, the A5300 and the A561.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport's website stated: "Construction of the last section of the new slip road which connects it to Tarbock roundabout is scheduled to start on Wednesday 7th May after the May Day Bank Holiday lasting for two weeks.
"To carry out this work safely the Highways Agency will have to shut the inside lane of the roundabout. Some disruption is expected on the roundabout and approaching slip roads."
Accordingly, the airport advised that peak travel times should be avoided and that passengers setting off to the hub by car should seek an alternative route.
