Deli Serves Up A Treat For Prestwick Passengers
A new Deli has taken off at Glasgow Prestwick International Airport, which is hailed a success in the facility's drive to bring more local businesses on board.
The Glasgow-based Deli chain Peckham's has opened the Prestwick site, as one of its 12 stores across the central belt.
Officials hop that passengers and regular customers alike will use the store, which is situated in the terminal's main concourse, the Evening Times reports.
Local delicacies such as shortbread, oatcakes and traditional relishes and preserves will be available to shoppers, in addition to the wines, whiskies, game and seafood.
Mark Rodwell, Prestwick's chief executive, commented: "Working with such a successful and distinctly Scottish company is a major coup for us."
Tony Johnston, the founder of Peckham echoed these sentiments, stating his confidence that the store's produce will be well received.
Glasgow Prestwick International Airport is based 32 miles from the city centre.
