Eastern Airways Increase Newcastle Services To Four Destinations

Eastern Airways is to provide north east travellers with a greater choice of services from Newcastle Airport.
The UK regional airline has announced the expansion of services to four destinations - Aberdeen, Southampton, Cardiff and Stavanger in Norway.
As of March 3rd 2008, weekday services to each of these destinations will be increased by one
extra flight per day.
Dave Laws, chief executive of Newcastle International Airport, said: "We're delighted to hear of Eastern Airways' significant expansion at Newcastle.
"This will greatly increase flexibility and choice of departure on all four routes and should stimulate extra passenger demand."
Stacy Hall, director of communications and tourism for One NorthEast, commented: "Connectivity is a crucial element in stimulating business growth, improving our ability to attract investment and raising our profile nationally and internationally, which is why we work closely with the region's airports in making the case for investment in the North East."
Seat capacity on flights to Aberdeen and Southampton will be increased thanks to the introduction of a larger Saab 2000 aircraft.
