Edinburgh Airport Is Made Ryanair's 27th European Base

Ryanair announced yesterday (Thursday, February 28th) that it has made Edinburgh Airport its 27th European base.
From September, the low fares airline will operate 19 routes to and from the Scottish hub with the introduction of two new Edinburgh-based Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Berlin, Malaga, Palma, Stockholm and Wroclaw are among the new destinations which Edinburgh Airport users will benefit from as of September.
Sean Coyle, director of scheduled revenue for Ryanair, commented: "Edinburgh Airport has competed successfully against airports across Europe for Ryanair's 27th base.
"Our 19 routes will deliver significant economic benefits for Edinburgh by capitalising on Scotland's huge tourism potential and making it cheaper and easier than ever before to get here.
"Ryanair already connects Scotland to more international destinations than any other airline and we look forward to delivering savings of over £20 million for Edinburgh's passengers compared to the high fares charged by Easyjet and BA."
