Exeter Airport To Release Expansion Strategy Plans

Exeter Airport will publish a strategy for the development of its infrastructure in a new document, to be made available to the public shortly.
The airport's forthcoming Master Plan will set out a "clear plan for growth", designed to help meet the growing demand for both business and leisure flights to and from the region of Devon and Cornwall.
More than £124 million of investment is to be pumped into the airport in preparation for its expected passenger growth, with annual numbers anticipated to increase to 1.9 million by 2015.
Jamie Christon, deputy managing director of Exeter Airport, commented: "The forthcoming Master Plan will set out how we envisage the growth of the airport and will deal with the development of the infrastructure.
"Our customers' feedback demonstrates how important Exeter Airport is for the people of Devon and Cornwall as the hub for travel.
"We are currently offering over 50 worldwide destinations and playing our part as the gateway into the region for tourism."
