Exeter Picks Up Car Park Safety Award

The safety of the car parks at Exeter International Airport has been recognised with a prestigious award.
It was revealed that the car parks at the south-western hub have been presented with the Park Mark Safer Parking Award (PMSPA).
To be granted such an accolade, the facilities had to show an effective combination of "active management procedures and commensurate preventative security measures".
People parking at the airport currently benefit from well-surfaced roads, good lighting and CCTV.
"We are delighted to have met the demands of the scheme. Over one million passengers per year are using the airport and a huge percentage park cars with us before joining their flight," the airport's commercial manager, Jamie Christon, commented.
"We have over 2,000 spaces within easy reach of the terminal and we hope that our passengers feel that they have parked in a safe environment.
"This type of award demonstrates that we are achieving high standards and with it we feel that more people will be encouraged to use Exeter as their airport of choice in the future."
Carrier Flybe operates a number of services from the airport, including routes to Alicante, Amsterdam, Avignon, Dublin, Edinburgh, Faro, Geneva, Malaga, Manchester, Newcastle, Nice and Paris.
