Flybe Announce Three New Routes From Newcastle

Low-cost airline Flybe has announced the launch of three new routes from Newcastle International Airport.

Starting March 30th, the airline will operate a three time's weekday service from Newcastle to London Gatwick, with fares starting off at £21.99 one way including taxes and charges.

On the same date, a direct route to Aberdeen will also begin operating six days a week, and on May 24th a weekly summer service to Rennes in France will start running.

Dave Laws, chief executive of Newcastle Airport, said that he welcomed the "investment and commitment" that Flybe has shown to the North East.

"The continuation of affordable and convenient access to London Gatwick is extremely important for business and leisure customers in the region.

"Furthermore, the airline's plan for additional route development over the coming year is excellent news for the airport and promises even greater choice and exciting new destinations for North East travellers."
