Gambia Is A Winter Favourite For Bristol Airport Passengers

The Gambia is proving to be a popular destination for Bristol flyers determined to escape the winter blues.
That is according to tour operator The Gambia Experience, which reported a 24 per cent increase in Bristol airport user purchases of holidays at its 'Luxury Collection' of properties.
The Gambia Experience offers travellers a variety of holiday accommodation, including intimate "boutique-style" properties, beachfront hotels and award-winning eco-lodges.
Packages range from long-weekend breaks to two-week holidays or longer.
One featured package is a seven-night stay for two people at the Ngala Lodge hotel, which costs £829 per person and departs from Bristol Airport on February 15th.
The tour operator said: "Situated just outside Bakau, a bustling African town, facilities at this intimate property include private tropical gardens, a swimming pool, access to a secluded beach and the acclaimed Ngala Lodge restaurant."
The Gambia Experience is operating a twice-weekly flight service from Bristol until the end of April 2008.
