Hand Luggage Restriction Remains At Bristol Airport

Bristol International Airport has advised its customers this week that the current hand luggage restrictions are to remain in place.
This means that passengers setting off on flights from the south-west hub will still be required to travel with only one item of hand luggage
The airport cited the current expansion of its search area as the reason for continuing to implement the restriction.
A number of UK airports now allow more than one item of hand luggage to be carried by passengers on flights, following the lifting of some of the previous restrictions by the Department for Transport on 7th January, 2008.
Bristol Airport's website stated: "Due to the current expansion of the Bristol International search area we will not immediately lift this restriction and it is therefore important that passengers continue to travel with one item of hand luggage only and leave adequate time to pass through the security search area.
"We would like to reassure our passengers that we are currently working to build an improved search area to keep waiting times to a minimum."
