Lifesaving Efforts Celebrated At Luton Airport

Luton Airport has celebrated the efforts of the staff who work to save lives at the hub.
Together with the East of England Ambulance Service, the airport praised terminal duty officers and passenger service assistants for all the hard work they do to care for people who need medial attention.
Crew members from Luton ambulance depot visited the airport to thank staff who have helped to assist poorly passengers over the last four years.
Luton Airport managing director Glyn Jones commented: "I am very proud to see members of the Airport team presented with such a important award, at the airport we recognise the challenging work our terminal operations team do throughout the year and to have this acknowledged by an organisation such as the ambulance service is fantastic for our hard working team."
Locality chief operating officer Rob Ashford, for the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire region, added: "The staff who have successfully resuscitated the members of public who were taken ill at the airport thoroughly deserve to be recognised for their actions. It is an honour to present them all with an award on behalf of the Trust."
A total of eight members of the public have been saved from heart attacks by staff at Luton airport in the last four years.
