Liverpool Gets Portuguese Connection

Easyjet has continued its roll-out of new winter flights from the UK with the launch of a new service between Liverpool and Lisbon in Portugal.
The new service will operate four times a week, taking off from Liverpool's John Lennon Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Tickets start from just £38.98 return (including taxes) and easyJet has said that it expects the route to be very popular.
A statement from the airline added: "Lisbon, situated on the north banks of the River Tagus, is a striking city of rich cultural heritage, renovated palaces, magnificent churches and an impressive castle.
"Its eclectic blend of culture and architecture, with cobble stoned narrow streets full of Art Nouveau cafes, tempting restaurants, museums of ancient and modern art and the energetic nightlife in the Bairro Alto, makes it a truly fascinating city."
The airline added that it was planning on launching a new service from Liverpool to Innsbruck on January 8th, 2008.
Recently, the low-cost carrier celebrated ten years of operation from its Liverpool base.
