Luton Maintains Hand Luggage Rules

Officials at Luton Airport have said that the hub will not be relaxing hand baggage security rules, despite the government's recent announcement.
Earlier this week, the government's Department for Transport (DfT) said that a total of 19 airports in the country would be able to relax the one hand baggage rule if they so desired.
At the time, a spokesperson from Manchester International Airport said that the hub had opted to let passengers carry more hand luggage.
However, a statement from Luton Airport has now confirmed: "We would like to advise passengers that despite the UK government's recent announcement relating to security at airports, there will be no change to restrictions on hand luggage at London Luton Airport."
As a result, passengers using the London hub can still only take a single piece of hand luggage onto the flight.
In addition, the statement explained that laptop bags could as a piece of hand luggage and that passengers can still only carry 100ml of liquids on the flight.
Airlines using Luton include easyJet, Flybe, Thomsonfly and Wizz Air.
