The machine wasn't working when we arrived so we had to go in to be let through the barrier and then needed a code to get out.
The bus driver on the way back waited a long time at the bus stop at Terminal 2 (we were at 1) before heading back to the car park - all you want to do after your holiday is get home!
But the car park was safe, close to the airport and good value.

The whole process was quick and efficient. On our return the bus stop was right outside arrivals and a bus arrived within ten minutes.

We use the shuttle car park at Manchester 2/3 times a year and we have no complaints about car parking or the shuttle bus service,
however evertime we go the entry machine or exit machine they seem incapable of recognizing the credit card used to make the original booking.
