Marseille Route Launched At Birmingham Airport

Users of Birmingham International Airport can now take advantage of a new service to Marseille, launched yesterday (May 1st).

The Marseille route is one of 20 new destinations introduced at Birmingham Airport by Ryanair, which also include Stockholm, Gdansk, Oslo and Porto.

All these services will be operating by July and it is anticipated that over the next year an extra 40,000 passengers will be generated at the hub as a result of the Marseille route.

Rachel Nicholson, sales and marketing executive for Ryanair, commented: "Our new routes to Barcelona (Girona) and Pisa launched last month have proven extremely successful and with bookings already received for the Marseille route we are very confident that this success will continue!

"With summer on the way, Marseille is a great holiday destination choice."

Peter Vella, business development director of Birmingham International Airport, added that Marseille offers "a wonderful experience for visitors".
