New Alicante Route For Manchester Airport

Users of Manchester Airport are set to benefit from the introduction of a new service to Alicante, announced yesterday (Tuesday, April 29th).

easyJet is due to launch the new route on September 29th and anticipates that it will be hugely popular with customers, predicting that in the first 12 months of operation there will be an uptake of almost 60,000 passengers.

Fares on flights from Manchester to Alicante will start at £27.99 one way including tax and the route will operate four times a week throughout the winter.

Tim McDermott, director of aviation at Manchester Airport, commented: "We're delighted that easyJet is already boosting its destinations from Manchester Airport with the announcement of this new Alicante route.

"There is a fantastic buzz around the arrival of easyJet at Manchester and we expect high passenger demand for this popular route."

Carly Brear, easyJet's UK Commercial Manager, added: "This is the first new route easyJet has introduced to its new Manchester base and we look forward to further expansion in the near future."
