New Coach Route Will Link Stansted And Ipswich

A new coach service will run between Ipswich town centre and Stansted Airport, it has been announced.

The route, operated by Excel coaches, will come into operation on May 1st providing the only direct public transport link between the town and the airport.

The journey time will be 75 minutes, with services running every two hours.

Graham Hayden, managing director of Excel coaches, told the Suffolk Evening Star: "We are delighted to be in working partnership with [the airport] and are extremely confident it will meet the demand for passengers travelling from Ipswich to Stansted."

"The service will help us build on our own route network at the airport and will provide an important link for people living in the East of England."

Stansted airport now services more than 50 destinations around the UK, with over 550 scheduled departures every day.
