Airport owner Infratil indicated that the retailer would be open for business on February 1st, providing passengers with both landside and airside access to currency exchange services.
Graeme Sweenie, manager commercial and property for Infratil, said that the company was "very excited about this new opportunity".
"We have been impressed by The Change Group's enthusiasm about this venture, as well as their track record of providing exceptional customer service at all their locations, and we look forward to working with them," he remarked.
Bette Zackariya, group director at The Change Group, said: "Infratil has rapidly become a leading operator of airports and we are excited to be able to help support their growth and vision to provide customers with tailored foreign exchange solutions."
Prestwick Airport currency exchange services were previously provided by Travelex, which operated there for a number of years.
