New Departure Lounge For Glasgow Airport
Glasgow Airport has announced that it is set to expand, with the opening of two new departure lounges.
The lounges, which are sponsored by Scottish cake company Tunnock's, are part of a £10 million re-development of the airport's international pier.
Both of the new lounges will be marketed under the Skylounge brand and will offer a range of hi-tech facilities.
Children will be entertained with toys, games, digital TV and DVDs, with adults offered access to the internet, newspapers, drinks and snacks (including a Tunnock's teacake of course!)
Paul White, commercial manager at Glasgow Airport, said: "The new lounges offer superb facilities for leisure and business passengers.
"Whether you're travelling on business to Dubai, or planning a fun family holiday in Spain, Glasgow Airport's Skylounge is the perfect way to start your trip."
Figures from the airport suggest that the lounges have already had 2,500 bookings in advance of the opening on April 1st.
