New EasyJet Service From East Midlands Airport To Mallorca

easyJet has launched a new service from East Midlands Airport (EMA) to Palma, in Mallorca.

The service will initially operate three times weekly, with flights departing on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

From April 12th, 2008, this will increase to one flight every day.

One way fares start at £22.99, while return tickets are priced from £35.35.

Penny Coates, managing director of EMA, said that the airport was "delighted" by the launch of easyJet's Palma route.

"We are confident Palma is going to be a popular destination for the people of the Midlands, with its depth of history, culture and nightlife offering something for everyone to enjoy."

David Osborne, general UK manager of easyJet, commented: "easyJet's continued expansion from East Midlands reflects the airline's commitment to growth across the UK."

Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, offering holiday makers miles of beaches, while the historic city of Palma is home to a host of designer shops.
