New Rail Connections From Manchester Airport

New direct train services to Manchester International Airport mean that passengers will find it easier to get to the hub.
Train operator First TransPennine Express revealed that it is to expand its network to provide 14 daily services each day between Scotland and Manchester.
Now, four trains a day will run between Edinburgh and Manchester, as well as three between Glasgow Central and the airport.
The new services will cut over an hour off existing journey times from Scotland to Manchester Airport and will also make intermediate calls at Carlisle and Penrith.
"We are delighted that more towns and cities in northern Britain will now enjoy direct rail services to Manchester Airport," commented John Twigg, planning and infrastructure director at the hub.
"This will provide local people and businesses with quick and convenient access to our network of 225 worldwide destinations."
Recently, low-cost carrier Ryanair announced four new services from Manchester. These included routes to Barcelona, Bremen, Marseille and Milan.
