New Route From Prestwick
Low-cost airline Ryanair has announced the launch of its new route from Glasgow's Prestwick Airport to Wroclaw in Poland.
Fares for the new route will start at £5.49 and it is expected that the knock-down fares will encourage an additional 40,000 passengers to fly from the Scottish airport.
Prestwick airport currently operates 24 other routes, including Amsterdam, Alicante, Dublin, Ibiza and Rome.
"With the new route to Wroclaw, Ryanair continues its expansion at Glasgow Prestwick," said deputy UK sales and marketing manager Karl Hogstadius.
"Wroclaw is a bustling town which offers cheap shopping, great night life and a rich cultural heritage," he added.
This new route means that Prestwick now serves four destinations in Poland, with this the second Polish destination for Ryanair.
