New Stavanger Service From Newcastle Airport

Users of Newcastle International Airport are set to benefit from the introduction of a new service to Stavanger, the energy capital of Norway.
As of today (Monday, May 12th), passengers in the north-east region can take advantage of a daily weekday service operated by Eastern Airways, with flights departing from Newcastle Airport at 9:50 local time.
This is the airline's first direct international service from the hub, offering Newcastle flyers the chance the experience Norway's fourth largest city, located on the south-west coast of the country.
Chris Holliday, chief operating officer of Eastern Airways, commented: "We have provided travellers with a comprehensive network of domestic services from Newcastle for many years and our first non-stop international route from the airport links the vibrant north-east with the European culture capital.
"Our convenient service is the fastest weekday transport link between the two cities, which will not only appeal to business travellers, particularly those in the oil and gas industry, but also visitors taking short breaks in both regions."
