Newcastle Airport Receives New Long-haul Destinations

Users of Newcastle International Airport looking to escape the UK this summer will benefit from the introduction of two exotic new routes.

Customers can now take advantage of new flights to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Cancun in Mexico, which were launched over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The new services add to the expanding range of long-haul destinations on offer at Newcastle International Airport, which also include Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt, Puerta Plata in the Dominican Republic and Dubai.

Chris Sanders, Newcastle Airport's head of airline relations and development, commented: "We're very pleased to announce even more scheduled flights to some beautiful destinations not just in Europe, but across the world.

"Punta Cana and Cancun promise to be very popular with customers in the region. And it's worth remembering that holidays to long-haul destinations like Mexico and the Dominican Republic can be just as affordable as a short-haul holiday to the Mediterranean."
