CARDIFF AIRPORT PARKING NEWS - 25/11/2008
One lucky traveller was given a special surprise at Cardiff Airport last week as the Welsh hub celebrated the ongoing success of its passenger facilities.
Mrs Gaenor Howells was preparing for her flight to the Greek resort of Paphos on November 19th when airport staff informed her she was the 100,000th customer to use the executive lounge.
After receiving a complimentary bottle of champagne, Mrs Howells was delighted to have benefitted from the airport's generosity.
She said: "I've used the lounge many times before and the service is tremendous - even without the champagne!
"Whenever you come in the staff are polite and courteous and will always go out of their way to assist you in any way they can."
In addition to business travellers using the lounge, other passengers can make use of its facilities from just £10 each time they fly.
The 51º Executive Lounge at Cardiff Airport opened in October 2003 and has played host to many famous faces including prime minister Gordon Brown, crooner Tom Jones and rugby star Jonah Lomu.
