Tips For Liverpool Airport Passengers This Christmas

Passengers who will be using Liverpool John Lennon Airport over the Christmas period have been reminded that security restrictions that still apply.
The hub is expecting its busiest Christmas getaway ever and has therefore urged passengers to think carefully about what items they are intending to pack in hand luggage.
It noted that all hand baggage, including wrapped presents, could be subject to search as part of the current aviation security measures.
As a result, the airport said that passengers should travel with their presents unwrapped.
"Christmas is an extremely busy time for JLA therefore to keep queuing times to a minimum we're asking passengers to come prepared and to think about what they carrying in their hand luggage," explained Pat Burns, head of security service at Liverpool Airport.
"Despite this being a holiday and festive period, wrapped Christmas presents are not exempt from the security screening process.
"We want all our passengers to enjoy the start of their journey particularly at this time of the year and with a bit of forward planning we hope passengers will get their Christmas holidays off to a great start."
