Wedding Dress Delays Flight
A pilot held up an easyJet flight this weekend in order for a bridesmaid going to a wedding to get her dress on board.
The Edinburgh-bound flight was due to leave Edinburgh Airport on Thursday evening at 07:45 BST but was still on the runway at 08:05, reports the Belfast Telegraph.
A spokeswomen for easyJet confirmed that the flight was delayed for 20 minutes while the essential item of clothing was loaded onto the plane.
She went on to confirm that the captain has made a "special exception" on this one occasion and that it was not something they would normally do.
"There was a special piece of luggage going through security which was cleared in time for take-off," she told the newspaper.
Passengers waiting aboard the flight were told that they were waiting for a bridesmaid's dress to be loaded.
