On my return at 3.30am my car was parked at the back of the rough stoned surface car park completely in the dark. I could only find it by activating the key. It had been parked wing mirror to wing mirror on both sides so I had to try to get in the drivers side by scraping my clothes along my mud splattered car (I hadn't parked it like that!) and squeeze myself into the seat. With cream jeans on I was NOT HAPPY !!

We've always used Oakwood and been very pleased with the service. However in June and October we have returned from Kefalonia at 12.30 am and struggled to get the return minibus from the airport. Confusion relates to the pick up point! In June we were told to go to the far side of the pick up. This week people were waiting there and also by drop off point! My husband is registered disabled and can't keep moving across the park. We had to wait 20 minutes before a very considerate younger driver responded to our plight and told the people by drop off (who were trying to chamber in the bus) that they should join the queue at the far side. A big Thank you to him!

On arrival checking in was quick and easy. It's only a short trip to the airport, so all good. Coming back was a bit chaotic. The problem was due to Bristol Airport and delayed baggage. We were 2 hours late as were many other travellers all waiting to be picked up. Nobody answered the emergency number on the card, so when the minibuses turned up nobody knew where they were supposed to wait. It ended in a bit of a free-for-all. The younger lad driving did a decent job of trying to help everyone in fairness to him.

The transfer to the airport after drop off was perfect however on collection it would be helpful if the driver goes to the pickup where he/she tells you where the meeting point is, they seem to pick up from different places every time. then the people that are waiting in the queue at the pickup point don’t have a mad rush to the bus, where he have stopped to let his passengers off, and then my disabled partner who can’t walk as fast as others wouldn’t keep missing the bus because there was no room left for her.

Previous experience really good This time very disappointed We were told by drop off driver to wait pick up in sheltered area for collection Driver stopped on opposite side although we were at the front of queue we had to wait for the third arrival of mini bus in pouring rain before we could find a place on the bus and your drivers frustration was evident.

The ground needs resurfacing !! Wouldn’t have liked to pull our suitcases on that rough surface on a wet day … otherwise the service to the airport was great 👍

Parking was fine but came back to our car 12 at night to find they moved the car left the interior light on and had a flat battery, but to our amazement they had no jump leads so we had to ring the AA which was not a good end to our holiday .

Our check in was smooth and quick . We got the mini bus to the airport, no problems at all . Unfortunately our return was not as successful. The mini bus arrived 1.30am . We all packed on , standing , squashed in . I picked up my keys, no issues. We were then left to find our car in a large , pitch black carpark / field. We finally found it at the far end parked amongst other cars, front back and both sides so no way out . I walked back to the office , it’s now 2am and chilly, thankfully not raining. I showed them a picture of the car parked in front of us , he located the key for this car and said he’d move it. I went back and waited , he didn’t come. I went back and he had got waylaid . He then sent someone else who did move the other car and we were on our way, 2.30am. On arrival home I noticed the back of my car was absolutely covered in bird poo , inches thick all over rear. It was so dark in their carpark I hadn’t noticed , it had clearly been parked elsewhere for the 5 days, I have no idea how that much poo was possible!!!!!! Overall , below average based on our collection service . I would suggest cars are moved to front of carpark for collection, there were plenty of spaces, in the lit area and not blocked in….And the horrendous poo jet washed off prior to collection as really disgusting.

We have used Oakwood so many times in the past but on this occasion we were disappointed slightly. When we arrived back in the UK it was the early hours of the morning and to arrive at the collection point to find a massive crowd for Oakwood was disheartening. We waited for a bus which we were unable to fit on and the rest of us formed a queue for the next bus, to be told then that only one guy was doing the shuttle run for about 50 more people. When we eventually got picked up and dropped at the car park we collected our keys, not told where our car would be and then to find that our car was blocked in further cars we then had to subsequently wait for another member of staff to move the cars around in order for us to leave. It’s just a shame that they have clearly got too big and lack attention to detail and the good system they use to have.

Going to Bristol Airport was fine, friendly driver help with the cases. Return from the airport driver opened the doors for us to get on with it, ( my husband is 84,) and not a word spoken. Collected my key and asked where it was and was told to just click my key fob in the pitch black, the battery in the fortnight it was parked had gone. After 30 mins of looking a young lad helped me, to whom I was very grateful.
