Very old minibus for transfers. Cars parked on muddy field. Plus side. Very close to airport and cheap.

Close to airport, transfer to airport easy quick, staff friendly and polite. Only issue I have is that the cars are parked in a small field which when it rains is very muddy and my car was covered in mud.

Drop off: Perfect. We arrived at the car park which was easy to locate and the driver was waiting. Advised where to park and was helped with luggage onto the bus. Provided with contact details and explained where to go for collection etc. Faultless. Collection: Disorganised and stressful. There were a number of people that were waiting at the pick up point in the short stay car park. People were arriving for collection and there was no designated area to form a queue which resulted in people running/pushing to get themselves on to the bus when the bus arrived which resulted in people becoming irrate. This process needs to either change or more drivers/buses to collect passengers. When he gets the 1st call he should take name and number of passengers 2nd call take name and number of passengers and so on so when he pulls up for collection he calls the lead name in order of them calling for collection. This way it would control the situation. We landed on the 07/09 and I would dread to have used the service in the 6 weeks holiday. Based on the collection process I would not use the service again as it took in excess of 40 minutes to get to my car and I had to go back to the airport to pick up my family.

Second time using Oakwood. First time no complaints. This time great on way to airport, poor on way back. Basically it was complete pot luck as to where the minibus was going to stop. The driver was clearly stressed and didn't 'crowd control'. The result of which meant there was a scramble for people to get on and no room for us - two adults and three children (5 and under). So we had to wait for the next minibus. Despite having been at the drop off in plenty of time, having called Oakwood and dealing with three children with a three hour flight delay. I wonder if there is a more organised fairer way of dealing with the transfers?

The van which came in to pick up from airport didn't have sufficient space for all people waiting. It was good that some people were kind enough to keep their children on the lap for us to be accommodated. Also my car had a scratch on the rear bumper.

Signage is poor, needs to be looked at. Talking to the airport staff member very nice. Travelling from airport, found the driver quite rude and blunt. Does not help that the phone calls from customers come through over the load speaker. Although quick service, staff don't have the best people skills.

Outward journey went very well. Return pick up was a little longer with only 1 man on duty doing the minibus runs and key handover, so think you need extra member of staff. Not told where to collect car from so had to search car park for the car. Would use again though. Being so close to airport is a bonus.

Very handy car park location. I used it a few years ago but my car was dirty when I returned so I stopped using it but my normal car park was fully booked so I went back to Oakwood again and surprise surprise, my car was filthy on the outside when I returned. If that's not bad enough, the paper mat that was used in the footwell as protection was crumpled up and lying in the back of the car. Not very good.

Efficient enough but car had some minor damage to the paintwork on the passenger door at around handle height which I noticed only once I had returned home. Must have either been scratched by a hedge or maybe somebody squeezing past wearing something metal.
